Pharma Friday – Who Invented Aspirin?

8月 4, 2017 | Posted by imran@3h-ms.co.jp | News |

Another Friday is finally upon us, so let the #PharmaFriday fun begin! Aspirin is one of the most popular medications on the planet, being used to relieve body pain, fever, and most notably… headaches. But while we all know about the highly used tablets, the inventor of the medication remains largely unknown. So, I ask you…

Pharma Friday – Fact #4 – Who Invented Aspirin?

Answer: Aspirin was invented by a German chemist named Felix Hoffmann. He created a unique form of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) in 1897 while he was searching for a remedy to cure the arthritis of one of his family members. Fast forward to 2017 and now over 100 BILLION aspirin tablets are sold every year. Now THAT is crazy!

See you again next week, and make sure to contact us if you have any clinical trial or patient recruitment questions.
