Pharma Friday – Fact #4 – Who Invented Aspirin?
Answer: Aspirin was invented by a German chemist named Felix Hoffmann. He created a unique form of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) in 1897 while he was searching for a remedy to cure the arthritis of one of his family members. Fast forward to 2017 and now over 100 BILLION aspirin tablets are sold every year. Now THAT is crazy!
